The EU Withdrawal Bill may not now be discussed in the House of Commons until after the Autumn recess, sources have told the BBC. The law is designed to transfer EU law into UK law ahead of Brexit. It is facing stiff resistance from some Tory rebels as well as from the opposition parties. Putin orders surprise Syria withdrawal

In a surprise move, Russian President Vladimir Putin has ordered his military to start withdrawing the “main part” of its forces in Syria from Tuesday. He said the Russian intervention had largely achieved its objectives. The comments come amid fresh peace talks in Geneva aimed at resolving the five-year Syrian conflict.
