V&A apologises after breastfeeding mum told to 'cover up'

The Victoria and Albert Museum has apologised after a mum said she was asked to “cover up” while breastfeeding on a visit to the London attraction. In a post on Twitter, the woman said she was “perplexed” by the request and posted several images of naked female statues from the museum’s exhibitions. Former FBI Director James Comey will testify to Congress on Thursday that President Donald Trump told him at a dinner: “I expect loyalty.” According to his opening statement, Mr Comey will also say the president asked him to drop an inquiry into fired National Security Adviser Mike Flynn. Cut sugar in cakes, biscuits by 20%, industry told

Sugar limits for everyday foods such as biscuits, chocolate bars and cereals have been published by public health officials in a bid to make UK children more healthy. Public Health England is challenging businesses to cut sugar by 20% by 2020, and by 5% this year. Scientists develop a robot capable of listening when told it’s wrong, in real time

Baxter is a robot developed in 2012 by Rethink Robotics, the project of former CSAIL director Rodney Brooks. Now a research team from Boston University and MIT’s CSAIL have successfully enabled Baxter to interpret and obey brain waves in real time. It’s a step toward smoother control of, and coexistence with, robots: being able to remotely take action, by simply thinking “no.” Their setup gave Baxter a simple sorting task and a human judge wearing an EEG cap. New York’s mayor says he has told US President-elect Donald Trump people in the city are “fearful” of what his White House administration could bring. During a meeting at Trump Tower, Bill de Blasio said he warned the Republican he would aim to shield undocumented immigrants from deportation.
