Nintendo Switch Outsells PS4, Xbox One In US July Sales

The NPD Group today put out its report for July 2017, showing that the Nintendo Switch was the best-selling console of the month in the US. Its success was fuelled in part by new units coming into retail channels and the launch of Splatoon 2, which was July’s best-selling game, NPD analyst Mat Piscatella said. On a year-to-date basis, however, Sony’s PlayStation 4 remains the best-selling console. For July 2017, hardware sales in the US came to $ 182 million, rising 29 percent when compared to July 2016. The latest game sales charts for Australia and New Zealand have been released, and for what looks like the first time since launch, Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy is not No. 1. Good Cars, Poor Sales: Why GM Might Kill Off 6 Sedans

General Motors is reportedly killing as many as six cars, all sedans, from its lineup. GM made a bad choice, in hindsight, to fix its sedans before its SUVs, and is now paying the price. The death watch includes the highly rated Chevrolet Impala; the breakthrough Chevrolet Volt plug-in hybrid; Impala siblings Cadillac XTS and Buick LaCrosse; the state-of-the-art Cadillac XT6; and the Chevrolet Sonic subcompact. That’s according to a report this week in Reuters. As the auto industry shifts from sedans to crossovers, SUVs, and pickups, some pretty decent ...

The UN claims strikes on Houthi rebels caused thousands of civilian deaths. The government said defence exports would continue to be reviewed but the Campaign Against the Arms Trade said an appeal against the ruling was planned.
