Allow mobile phone network roaming in UK, urge MPs

Mobile phone companies should allow customers to roam between networks in areas of the UK where they struggle to get reception, a group of MPs has said. The British Infrastructure Group said foreign visitors get better coverage, as they are not tied to any provider, so can use the strongest signal. Mobile roaming charges cut within EU

UK consumers using their mobile phones in Europe will see reductions in their bills from Saturday. Further caps are coming into effect on roaming – or connection – charges within all 28 countries of the European Union (EU).
