6,000 Games Released On Steam This Year

More than 6,000 games have been released on Steam so far this year–and there is still more than a month left before 2017 is out. This number comes from industry analyst Daniel Ahmad, who works for Niko Partners. As Ahmad points out, 6,000 is nearly equal to the total number of games released on Steam in the decade between 2005 and 2015. Spider-Man Spin-Off Venom Has Finally Started Production, First Set Image Released

After a few delays, the Spider-Man spin-off Venom has started shooting. The movie stars Tom Hardy, Riz Ahmed, and Michelle Williams, and is set for release in October next year. The start of production was revealed by the movie’s official Twitter account. Grenfell Tower: Safety cash not released, councils say

The government has not released funds to make tower blocks safe following the Grenfell Tower fire, according to some councils. Several local authorities in England and Wales say funding requests for refurbishments such as new cladding and sprinkler systems are not being met. Jane Urquhart, from Nottingham City Council, said some works were regarded as “additional rather than essential”. The government said it had asked councils for more detailed proposals. The former American football star and actor OJ Simpson has been released on parole after nine years in a Nevada jail. He had been serving time for armed robbery, assault with a deadly weapon and 10 other charges over a 2007 confrontation at a Las Vegas hotel. Prisoner 'trapped' in jail for 11 years to be released

A man who has served 11 years in prison for what was a 10-month sentence is to be released, the Parole Board has said. James Ward was sentenced under Imprisonment for Public Protection (IPP), after he set fire to his bed while in jail for actual bodily harm. The 32-year-old has mental health problems and has regularly self-harmed while serving his indefinite sentence.
