How the next month of playoff rankings will play out (we think)

9:00 AM ET Enter the bureaucrats. The true rulers of the Republic. The time has come for the people with the final say on college football’s postseason to hold their first meetings in that swankiest of spots, the Gaylord Texan Resort. The time has come for the 13-person College Football Playoff selection committee to reveal its first rankings of the 2017 season (Tuesday, 7 p.m. ET, ESPN and ESPN App). That means the time has come for us to yell and scream and overreact to whatever list it hands to ...

This site may earn affiliate commissions from the links on this page. Terms of use. In past years, “unlimited” mobile data actually meant unlimited. Thanks to Clemson and Bama, first month follows a familiar script

2:51 AM ET There are few guarantees in college football, but as we exit the month of September, it’s becoming readily apparent that we are on an end-of-the-season collision course with Alabama and Clemson. The two teams to play for and win the national championship in the past two seasons are yet again the cream of the crop. Most of us don’t want to admit it, but we’re all thinking it. The Tide and Tigers have crushed any expectation of parity at the top in this sport, but we all ...

2:44 AM ET A group of four players sent the NFL a memo in August requesting league support and asking for a month to be dedicated to social activism, not long after commissioner Roger Goodell reportedly had talked to several players regarding their game-day activism efforts. According to Yahoo! Sports, defensive end Michael Bennett of the Seattle Seahawks, Philadelphia Eagles safety Malcolm Jenkins and receiver Torrey Smith, and former Arizona Cardinals wideout Anquan Boldin co-authored the 2,740-word document intended to push the NFL into efforts “similarly to what the league ...

The next major expansion for Rainbow Six Siege is just a few weeks away. The map is set in Hong Kong, but Ubisoft hasn’t revealed what to expect from the Operators yet. All three ...
