Priti Patel must be investigated for holding unofficial meetings during a holiday in Israel or “do the decent thing and resign”, Labour has said. An ex-Welsh Labour minister who faced a party investigation into allegations about his personal conduct has taken his own life, BBC Wales understands. Alyn and Deeside AM Carl Sargeant, 49, lost his ministerial job as cabinet secretary for communities and children last Friday. Labour has suspended Luton North MP Kelvin Hopkins after an allegation of sexual harassment. The party has not given any details of the nature of the claims but the BBC understands it relates to an incident first reported a couple of years ago.
