The SNES Classic Launch Is On Track to Be Another Disaster

In business, it’s usually ideal to sell as many things as possible to consumers, but Nintendo has a different approach. The NES Classic Edition released last year was a hot must-have gift for the holiday season, but Nintendo just didn’t make very many of them. Then, Nintendo discontinued the device while people were still clamoring to get their hands on it. It’s all very bizarre, and it’s possible we’re headed for a very similar outcome with the upcoming SNES Classic. Like the NES Classic, the SNES Classic will come with ...

Overclocker Claims X299 VRM Temperatures are a ‘Disaster,’ Limit Skylake-X Potential

One of the major features Intel has claimed with for its new X-Series of CPUs (both the Skylake-X and Kaby Lake-X) is that they’re all unlocked, with higher TDP ratings and a top-end platform to pair with the chips, dubbed X299. However, according to overclocker der8auer, there’s a serious set of problems with every X299 board he’s tested to date. The first issue is that at least some X299 boards are only shipping with a single 8-pin power connector for the CPU. An overclocked Skylake-X pushing above 4.5GHz can pull more than ...

Trea Turner's injury not a Nationals disaster — thanks to Adam Eaton

5:41 PM ET That Adam Eaton trade is looking better and better every day. Back in December, when the Washington Nationals acquired Eaton from the Chicago White Sox, the consensus was that Washington got fleeced. In giving up three top pitching prospects, general manager Mike Rizzo paid well above market value for a 28-year-old outfielder who has never been an All-Star. Even those who put a lot of stock in Eaton’s value as a defender weren’t sold on the deal, seeing as he’d be moving from right field — where ...

Now he’s being raked over the coals for his response to a violent passenger incident on a United Airlines flight. Public relations experts say the CEO should have quickly offered an unreserved apology after a customer was filmed on Sunday being forcibly removed from his seat and dragged down an overbooked aircraft’s aisle. Instead, Munoz apologized only for “having to re-accommodate … customers.” Many customers found ...

Jeremy Corbyn: Clive Lewis quitting not a disaster

The resignation of shadow business secretary Clive Lewis to vote against the Brexit bill was “not a disaster”, Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn has said. Mr Lewis quit, saying he could not “in all conscience” support triggering Article 50 of the Lisbon Treaty, getting talks with the EU under way. But Mr Corbyn told the BBC that Labour had been right to “respect” the result of last year’s EU referendum. He dismissed as “fake news” and “absolute nonsense” suggestions ...
