The case for each No. 1 candidate

9:15 AM ET Alabama fans always think they’re No. 1. Miami fans — for the first time as members of the ACC — can actually make the case. (Um, excuse me, Wisconsin fans say, we’re undefeated, too!) Miami feasts on turnovers but the Hurricanes come up empty too often in the red zone. Alabama’s defensive depth is being tested by multiple injuries and Oklahoma’s defense is, well, historically bad by CFP standards. The College Football Playoff selection committee dove into its third of six rankings this week with no clear-cut ...

How much could Colin Kaepernick win in his collusion case against the NFL?

Jeffrey Toobin: Collusion is difficult to prove Colin Kaepernick isn’t playing this season, and that’s costing him millions. In a grievance filed against the league, he alleges that NFL teams colluded not to sign him due to his controversial protest. Whether he isn’t playing because of his politics or his playing ability is debatable. But the fact is, Kaepernick made $ 14.3 million with the San Francisco 49ers in ...
