Brexit: Are more British nationals applying for dual nationality in the EU?

Tens of thousands more UK citizens applied for citizenship in other EU countries in the 12 months after the Brexit vote than in the previous year, according to data obtained by the BBC. Paul McClean, 24, from Thames Ditton in Surrey, was dragged into a river near Arugam Bay, witnesses said. Hurricane Irma: 'UK doing all it can to help British territories victims'

The UK government is doing all it can to help people in the British territories affected by Hurricane Irma, the defence secretary has said. British boy killed in Barcelona attack

Julian Cadman, a seven-year-old dual British-Australian national, was killed in the Barcelona terror attack, Catalan police have confirmed. His family had appealed for information on the missing boy after he apparently became separated from his mother. He is one of 13 people to have been killed when a van ploughed into crowds on Barcelona’s Las Ramblas on Thursday. British snorkelling instructor, 19, dies in Zakynthos, Greece

A 19-year-old British water sports instructor has died while snorkelling and underwater swimming in Greece. Harry Byatt, who worked in Zakynthos, an island in the south-west of Greece, failed to resurface after diving into the sea, his employer said. British tourist 'shot in Brazilian favela'

The Foreign Office is in touch with authorities in Brazil following reports a British woman was shot after mistakenly driving into a favela. A couple and their three children were travelling in Angra dos Reis when their car was approached by an armed group, Brazilian newspaper O Globo reported.
