Boy, 12, among four charged with Ashton-under-Lyne murder

Four boys, including a 12 year old, have been charged with murdering a man who was injured outside a McDonald’s restaurant in Greater Manchester.

The victim, in his 40s, died in hospital after an attack in Warrington Street, Ashton-under-Lyne, on Wednesday night.

The boys, aged between 12 and 17, who cannot be named, are due to appear at Oldham Magistrates’ Court later.

The man who died has not been named.
